About the position
DENSsolutions is actively seeking a driven Technical Sales Engineer, located in the United States of America, to become part of our global sales team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in propelling our growth within the American market.
As our Technical Sales Engineer based in the USA, your job responsibilities would revolve around combining technical knowledge with sales expertise to promote and sell our unique products, continuously identify new business opportunities and strive to increase the turnover coming from the North American market. Moreover, your role will involve engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing them with tailored technical solutions based on our portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Product Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of the technical aspects, features and benefits of the products within our portfolio. This involves continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Customer Engagement: Interact with potential customers in the American market to identify their requirements, challenges and goals. Establish strong relationships with clients by being responsive, proactive and providing excellent customer service.
- Technical Presentations: Conduct presentations, demonstrations and technical discussions to showcase the value and capabilities of our in situ products. Adapt your communication style to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with customers to understand their unique needs and develop customized technical solutions that address their specific challenges. This may involve conducting feasibility studies together with our R&D and Product Management departments, analyzing technical requirements and proposing appropriate product configurations or adaptations.
- Technical Sales Support: Provide technical and/or application support to the customer throughout the sales cycle. Assist in overcoming objections, clarifying technical queries and addressing customer concerns. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation and successful customer onboarding.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers, market trends and competitors. Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies that could impact the product offering or sales strategy.
- Customer Feedback: Act as a liaison between customers and the internal teams, providing feedback on product performance, customer needs and market demands. Contribute to product development and improvement efforts based on customer insights.
- Achieving Sales Targets: Work towards achieving sales targets, meeting or exceeding financial goals and contributing to the overall business growth. Develop and execute effective sales strategies, identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Travel and Relationship Building: Travel to customer sites, industry conferences and trade shows as necessary to network, build relationships and promote the products or services. Actively engage in professional networking and industry associations to stay connected and enhance your sales opportunities.
Skills
- Minimum
- A Master’s or PhD degree (preferred) in Material Science/Chemistry/Semiconductor or similar fields
- Experience with in situ Transmission Electron Microscopy
- Affinity with working in a commercial and scientific environment
- Strong and professional communication and negotiating abilities
- Professional proficiency level in English, both spoken and written.
- Home-based on either the West or East Coast
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Desired
- Experience with in situ gas/liquid TEM experiments
- Experience with the focused ion beam (FIB) technique
- Knowledge of Mandarin
- American citizenship or Green Card
