DENSsolutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Architect to join our multidisciplinary team. As a System Architect, you will play a key role in leading, designing, testing and coordinating the production of high-tech equipment that enables state-of-the-art research, utilizing the latest functionalized nano-chip technologies.
DENSsolutions is a fast growing high-tech company active in the field of nanotechnology, developing research equipment based on MEMS devices for in situ microscopy. Nanotechnology is considered to be key for meeting the challenges of today’s world in clean technologies, semiconductors, health and climate change. As our System Architect, you will work on designing our sample management solutions, which consist of challenges in the field of mechanics, mechatronics and precision engineering.
Skills
- Required
- MSc degree (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar field) with at least 2-3 years of experience in the precision engineering industry.
- Experience in value engineering, testing and prototyping of precision systems.
- Strong knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, vibrations and heat transfer
- Experience with high-vacuum systems
- Experience with manufacturability
- Extensive experience with CAD software such as Inventor or Solidworks
- Experience with FEA simulations (e.g. COMSOL)
- Ability to discover flaws in CAD models and detail drawings of assemblies and parts
- Excellent skills in problem-solving
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
- You are the project lead/manager and responsible for the design and technical decisions
- Maintain close contact with DENSsolutions’ production partners/suppliers to ensure feasible designs and high-quality production
- Improve the value engineering of the different projects involving precision engineering and innovative mechatronics systems
- Hands-on engineer with the responsibility of creating new prototypes, functional models and necessary setups to perform required testing, with a strong focus on precision engineering
- Boost the reliability, robustness, cost-efficiency, and ease-of-use of these systems by incorporating precision engineering principles
- Look for new manufacturing technologies to keep improving the specs and capabilities of our systems
- Collaborate closely with a team of experts in various technological domains, including mechatronics, mechanical Engineering, software, micro & nano-engineering
